  1. Your parents shared your blog with us. Great photos. We could relate to your trip to Peru and Ecuador both places we have been. If you ever meet aggressive dogs again (and cannot avoid them) and have a backpack, turn to face them slip it on to your arm and use it to swing at them keep your other hand in a pocket. Also if you hear dogs barking try and pick up rocks to throw at them If it is really scary be prepared to throw your back pack and run as usually you will have some food in it, with luck they will go for that. We got this advice from a guide when hiking in a remote area in Greece once where there were some very aggressive sheep dogs
